Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. The Septage Detention and Treatment facility (SDTF) consisted of one 10,000-gallon fiberglass tank to be used for the storage of domestic septage. Photo taken by Troy Harrison on 6/21/2017 2. Set-back/buffer requirements appear to have been met. 3. Appropriate signage was displayed at the site. 4. The access road to the tanks were well maintained. 5. The tanks appeared to be structurally sound and well maintained. 6. The area around the detention and treatment area was found to be free of spills and debris. As a reminder, the area around the tanks must be free of debris or vegetation to allow for access and inspection for a distance of at least 5 feet. 7. No odors observed around the detention and treatment area.
