Dear Mr. Eller, 

The Division of Waste Management, Solid Waste Section (Section) has reviewed the Landfill Gas 
Monitoring Plan (DIN 27857) for the Davie County closed MSW and C&D landfills submitted on your 
behalf by S&ME, Inc. on May 30, 2017.  The Section approves the plan.   

The monitoring plan proposes to install two (2) landfill monitoring wells and monitor the ambient air of 
two (2) onsite structures.  The nomenclature for these monitoring locations are as follows: LFG‐1 (well), 
LFG‐2 (well), LFG‐3 (former scale house) and LFG‐4 (former admin building).  These monitoring locations 
shall be monitored quarterly.  The facility shall submit the well construction records for the landfill gas 
monitoring wells after installation is complete.
