Sharon,
Thank you, this is great news! and just in time for closing :)
One thing I just noticed, in the letter we are classified as "office and light industrial use", this
was suppose to be office and heavy industrial use for a concrete plant (the property is zoned
heavy industrial). It looks like I overlooked this on the application, is there anything you would
like me to do to fix this? I don't mind amending the application and sending it back to you if
necessary
I will speak to Tim about this new option you are piloting and let you know ASAP
We are closing on the land tomorrow at 1 pm, I will keep you in the loop for any activity but
we have nothing planned at the moment. Our first steps were to clean up the overgrown
vegetation and secure the site as best we can, let me know if you need us to hold off on that.
I will speak with Withers Ravenel and see when I can you get you a copy of some preliminary
plans...
Looking forward to working with you / meeting you!

Subject: Letter of Eligibility - Webster Poultry, Moncure, Chatham County
All – attached please find the Letter of Eligibility (LOE) for the Webster Poultry site in Moncure,
Chatham County. The next step in the process is evaluating existing assessment data and whether
assessment data gaps exist that will believe require additional assessment to inform the preparation
of the brownfields agreement (BFA). This is best done with a firm understanding of the site
redevelopment plans. Please provide drawings of these plans, even if conceptual at this stage. This
will assist in developing the appropriate assessment scope of work.
When I spoke with Tim earlier this month, I informed him of a new option that we are piloting that
puts the onus on the PD’s team to prepare an assessment data gap review, and prepare the first
drafts of the various BF documents. If you wish to pursue this option, please let me know and we
can discuss further and establish a schedule. It may make sense to conduct a site visit so that
decisions about sampling locations can be generally agreed upon in the field.
I understand that you are closing on the property at the end of this week. Please be sure to consult
with me as to any activities you conduct at the property. It is important that you are not responsible
for any chemical releases at the property. Please be sure to obtain any and all permits you may
need for work at the property, including demolition. Site grading work or soil disturbance of any
kind should only be done under an approved Environmental Management Plan (EMP). We can
discuss this further at your convenience.
I look forward to working with you all. Welcome to the program!
Thanks,
Sharon
