The North Carolina Division of Waste Management, Solid Waste Section (Section) has reviewed
the following Coal Combustion Residual Visual Removal Verification Reports submitted on your

These reports followed the guidelines outlined in Attachment 1: Coal Combustion Residuals
Surface Impoundment Closure Guidelines for Protection of Groundwater prepared by North
Carolina Department of Environmental Quality in September 2016. The Section has determined
the findings summarized in these reports comply with the guidelines and no further action is
required at this time.
