Dear Ms. Heim: Following our site meeting on May 23, 2017, and on behalf of Rockingham County (the County), Joyce Engineering (JOYCE) is submitting this corrective action plan for Rockingham
County Landfill in response to your Notice of Violations (NOVs) dated December 22, 2016 and May 2, 2017. To expedite the recovery work, the County decided to hire a contractor to conduct the major repair work of the side slopes and on-site erosion and sediment (E&S) control features discussed in the NOVs, while the County will focus on daily operational compliance. The following schedule includes a tentative timeline for each activity. This timeline is subject to
suitable weather for operation and construction, the County will notify NCDEQ of any delays related to inclement weather.
