AREAS OF CONCERN AND COMMENTS:
1) “No Trespassing” sign present with the Septage Land Application Site sign along the access road before you get
to the site.
2) Tanks accessible for inspection.
3) Tank #8 had some small leaks. Tanks #3 and #1 had some small holes. Tanks need to be patched. Russ said
that they will remove tank #1 because the tank wall is getting thin.
4) Russ is in the process of replacing some of the older tanks. I inspected 11 tanks today. Two of the tanks had
been recently place at the site. The two steel tanks each measured 32 ft long by 7 ft in diameter. The calculated
volume of a 32 ft long by 7 ft in diameter tank comes out to approximately 9,000 gallons. Russ said that he has
four more tanks to add. Because the storage volume has change, you need to submit an application for permit
modification for adding the six tanks. The two additional tanks cannot be used until the permit has been
modified to include the tanks. No issues noticed with the two additional tanks.
5) No septage spills noticed on the tanks or on the ground by the tanks.
6) No odor or vector issues noticed today.
7) No change noticed that would affect setback distances.
8) Tanks appear to be used on a regular basis.
