Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 1. All photographs were taken by Troy Harrison on May 1, 2017. 2. This Septage Detention and Treatment facility (SDTF) consists of one 1,500 gallon concrete tank and one 3,500 gallon tank for storage and treatment of domestic septage (including portable toilet waste) and grease trap pumpings. 3. Set-back/buffer requirements appear to have been met. 4. Appropriate signage (No Trespassing signs) is posted for the site. 5. All weather roads are maintained for access to the site. 6. The tanks appeared to be structurally sound and well maintained. 7. The area around the detention and treatment area was found to be free of spills and debris. As a reminder, state regulation require that the area around the tank be free of debris and vegetation to allow for inspection and access for a distance of at least 5 feet. 8. No odors observed around the tanks.
