3. The facility is allowed to receive untreated and unpainted wood waste, silviculture waste, yard trash, and yard waste. 4. Unprocessed and processed wood waste were observed on site during this inspection.
5. Two pieces of metal were observed in the unprocessed material pile. Please remove this material from the
unprocessed pile. Take all measures necessary to ensure that the facility only accepts waste material which it is allowed to receive.
6. The Section recommends that the distance between the unprocessed material and the wooded areas be increased on
site to allow for efficient access in case of a fire event and/or hot load at the facility. 7. As required, the site entrance was marked and gated to restrict site access.
8. The access road was well maintained. It is approximately 2,000 feet from the access gate at Bear Creek Road to the
processing and storage area.
9. There was no standing water and/or leachate observed around the processed and unprocessed wood waste.
10. Continue to maintain positive drainage conditions for all operational and storage areas on site.
11. The site was less than 2 acres in size and appeared to meet all siting and buffer requirements.
12. Ensure that the facility continues to process and store less than 6,000 cubic yards of material per quarter.
13. Overall, the facility appeared to be well operated and maintained.
