ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. Inspected the facility. The required signs are posted and the access road is adequate. The above ground tanks
appear structurally sound. No spills or leaks noted. It appears that septage is being transferred to/from the
facility in a safe and sanitary manner. No vectors or odors noted. The approved setbacks are being met. The
required 5’ cleared radius (free of excess vegetation) is present around the tanks. No change on site except for
some valve work and a temporary lime tank. The current drawings are still accurate at this time and no new
drawings are needed.
2. Discussed the permit modification submittal. Received a couple pages of logs for review in regards to the land
application site logs and the treatment facility logs. Discussed the possibility of storing yellow grease (fryer oil)
- this type of waste shall be kept separate from any septage waste in regards to tanks & lines.
3. Discussed revisions that were needed to the SDTF application. Submit a corrected application signed by both
Eric Locklear & Cody Hunt. It is my understanding these will be the future permit holders.
4. Discussed that the property is currently under the name of A Great Company LLC. Submit a LLC
landowner’s authorization form.
5. Have received authorization for the dewatered solids to go the Robeson County landfill. McGill is no longer
being used for solids disposal. Effluent is going on the permitted disposal fields. If Red Springs WWTP is to be
utilized for any type of disposal submit a WWTP authorization for Red Springs.
6. The submitted operation manual appears to be the same as the previous manual. However on page 12 (Section
4, last paragraph) it references that the dewatering box is cleaned at McGill’s facility which is not the case
anymore. I do not see any information in the manual explaining the cleanout procedure for the box there at the
SDTF facility. Correct this paragraph and submit a revised operation manual signed by both Eric
Locklear & Cody Hunt.
7. Mail the hard copies of all forms to me, particularly the notarized landowner authorization form.
