STATUS OF PERMIT:
A Land Clearing and Inert Debris Notification was issued on December 4, 2006.
PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT:
Comprehensive Inspection
STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS:
None
OBSERVED VIOLATIONS:
15A NCAC 13B .0566(4) states: “Adequate soil cover shall be applied monthly, or when the active area reaches one acre in
size, whichever occurs first”.
Mills LCID Landfill is in violation of 15A NCAC 13B .0566(4) for failure to apply adequate soil cover monthly, or
when the active area reached one acre in size.
During the inspection, a large amount of waste was exposed and covered the majority working face. Mr. Mills stated the
debris had been delivered within the past 60-90 days without being covered within that time frame. Tuckers Hauling and
Grading was scheduled to be on-site the day of the inspection to begin applying cover.
To achieve compliance, Mills LCID Landfill must apply adequate soil cover monthly, or when the active area reaches
one acre in size, whichever occurs first. A follow up inspection will be conducted in 30 days to verify adequate soil cover.
