ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: 1) This Facility is a closed MSW Landfill with a Temporary Disaster Debris Staging Site on the property. 2) This Facility is recorded with the Jones County Register of Deeds at: Book #218; Page #367. 3) This Facility is secured by a locked gate at the facility entrance. The gate was open upon my arrival and an attendant was on-site at the adjacent Jones County Solid Waste Convenience Site. 4) Proper signage is posted at the Facility entrance. 5) The Facility access road is of all-weather construction and is being well maintained at this time. 6) Permanent, highly visible, edge-of-waste markers delineating the waste disposal footprint are being maintained as required. 7) The Facility monitoring wells were reviewed. All wells were readily accessible, properly labeled, and secured FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section 5201_INSP_20170404 Page 2 of 3 with functioning locks. High visibility markers are maintained adjacent to the Facility groundwater monitoring wells to prevent damage by maintenance equipment. 8) A cover crop of native warm season grasses has been established throughout the landfill. The landfill cover crop is mowed throughout the year as needed. The next mowing event is scheduled for early summer. 9) No areas of erosion or off-site erosion were observed during this Facility Compliance Inspection. 10) All vegetative waste staged at the TDDS has been disposed of using an air curtain burner (ACB). Disposal activities were completed on 8 April 2017. The waste staging area has been graded and is awaiting seeding and mulching. 11) The ACB was still set up on the site during this Facility Compliance Inspection. *Please notify me at the contact number listed below when the ACB has been removed and the burner trench has been filled and returned to natural grade. 12) *Please ensure that all newly graded areas in the TDDS are seeded and mulched to establish a groundcover FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section 5201_INSP_20170404 Page 3 of 3 suitable to prevent erosion upon completion of all disaster debris management activities, 13) No violations were observed during this Facility Compliance Inspection. 14) *Corrective actions are required as a result of this Facility Compliance Inspection.
