Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. The permitted Septage Detention and Treatment facility consist of one 10,000 gallon metal tank (tank) for the storage of domestic septage from recreational vehicles. The waste from any recreational vehicle that is being used as a residence is prohibited from being stored in this tank. 2. No leaks or spills were observed. The tank was visually observed to be empty. 3. The tank appeared to be structurally sound. 4. Vectors were not present at the time of inspection nor were objectionable odors observed. 5. The current permit is issued to Lake Myers RV Resort and Tyana Miller; however, she is no longer with the company. A “Notice of Ceased Operation of a Septage Detention and Treatment Facility” (Notice) was received on March 27, 2017. With this Notice, this tank can no longer be used unless a new permit is applied for.
