STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS:
No violations noted on the previous inspection conducted on 05/27/16.
OBSERVED VIOLATIONS:
1. No signage observed before you enter the site. Rule .0838(a)(2) states “Each site shall be posted with
"NO TRESPASSING" signs. Access roads or paths crossing or leading to the disposal area shall be
posted "NO TRESPASSING" and a legible sign of at least two feet by two feet stating "SEPTAGE
LAND APPLICATION SITE" shall be maintained at each entrance to the land application area.”
The failure to have the proper signage before you get to the site is a violation of Rule .0838(a)(2) and
requires your immediate attention. You need to make sure the required signage is present.
The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and
any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

AREAS OF CONCERN AND COMMENTS:
1) The required signage not present at the entrance to the site. You need to get the required signage
up.
2) Access road ok.
3) No markers present. Markers are needed for the outside boundaries and the split between Fields 1
and 2.
4) No recent septage discharges noticed.
5) No evidence of any septage applications.
6) The small grain had been planted. See the picture below.
7) No application at time of inspection. pH not checked.
8) No objectionable odors noticed.
9) Setbacks not checked.
10) Records not checked.
11) Composite soil samples taken from both fields.
