FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2 AREAS OF CONCERN AND COMMENTS: 1) The “No Trespassing” sign present as you turn down the access road from Lane Farm Road. The “Septage Disposal Area” sign is present along the access road before you get to Field 1. 2) No issues with the access road. 3) All markers present and visible for Field 2. Field 1 is not being used for the summer months. Field 1 has corn present. 4) All septage discharges appear to be within the permitted boundaries of Field 2 5) No septage application issues, spot dumps or thick applications, observed in the field today. 6) The millet had been planted and was about 2 inches in height. The millet that was present was yellow. The millet is struggling to become established due to weed pressure, possible nutrient issues, and dry conditions. Randy did spray the site with Roundup before planting the millet. Talked to Randy about mowing the field to keep the weeds down to see what the millet will do. Randy said that he will replant the areas where there is no millet. I have attached the soil report from the analysis of soil samples taken last year. The soil report shows that potash and magnesium are needed. The report also shows that there may be a need for manganese. 7) No objectionable odors noticed today. 8) Tractor trailer park in a corner of Field 2. Tractor trailer needs to be moved outside of the permitted boundary of the field or the permitted boundary of Field 2 will have to be adjusted. See picture below. Field 2. Tractor trailer park within a corner of Field 2. Red arrow points to marker.
