OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: NONE The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2 AREAS OF CONCERN AND COMMENTS: 1) “No Trespassing” at first tank as you enter the site. The first tank is above ground. The other four tanks are mostly buried. See the pictures below. 2) Areas around the tanks accessible to allow for inspection of the tanks. 3) The above ground tank appears to be structurally sound. No leaks noticed. The other four tanks are buried. 4) The transfer of septage to and from the tank appears to be handled in a safe and sanitary manner. No spills noticed on the tanks or on the ground. 5) No odor or vector issues noticed today. 6) Appears that the setback distances are being met. 7) Appears that the tanks are being used on a regular basis. 8) No violations noticed today. The above ground tank is the first tank that you get to. The other four tanks are further down the path and are mostly buried.
