C. SWMU No. 3 -former unlined waste glue holding pond (1979 to 1989)
1. Glue was urea-fonnaldehyde adhesive (not solvent based)
2. Primary constituent of concern is formaldehyde
3. All visible glue removed from pond in I 990
D. Soil and ground water data
1. Initial data collected 1995 and 1996

II. Objectives
A. Close SWMU No. 3 in most efficient and expeditious manner
B. Avoid need for further regulatory requirements and 30-year post-closure
III. Method
A Use existing data to extent possible to meet objectives
B. Supplement with additional data collection efforts
C. Compare data to risk-based standards and/or background to determine if
additional activities are wan-anted
