Re: Water Quality and Landfill Gas Monitoring Plan
Closed York Road MSW Landfill
Mecklenburg County
Solid Waste Permit Number 6003
DIN 27482
Dear Mr. Pierotti,
The NC Solid Waste Section has completed a review of the Water Quality and Landfill Gas Monitoring Plan
dated February, 2017 (DIN 27481) and received February 28, 2017. The document was submitted on your
behalf by Geosyntec for the closed York Road MSW Landfill, NC Solid Waste Permit Number 6003. The
landfill ceased operations in 1986, and the NC Division of Health Services issued a closure letter on August
21, 1987.
The Water Quality and Landfill Gas Monitoring Plan was submitted to update and revise the Water Quality
Monitoring Plan dated 2004 and the Landfill Gas Monitoring Plan dated 2011. As a result, the Water
Quality and Landfill Gas Monitoring Plan is approved as described.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this letter, please feel free to contact me by phone at

matter.
