ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. A small septage spill on the left side of the middle tank (residuals that have leached off the side of the tank
where a spill previously occurred) – instructed Mr. Jones to clean up this area. The facility should be routinely
monitored for septage on the ground surface or tank issues. Any septage (liquid waste, paper/plastic debris) on
the ground surface shall immediately be cleaned up.
2. The three tanks appear structurally sound. No apparent seep holes or cracks at this time.
3. The required signs are posted and the access road is adequate.
4. The approved setbacks are being met.
5. It appears that septage is being transferred to/from the detention facility in a safe and sanitary manner. No
apparent vectors or odors noted.
6. The required 5’ cleared radius is present around the tanks at this time.
7. Discussed adding additional tanks slightly to the north of the current tanks and the setback requirements. An
SDTF application would be needed for this permit modification. Please contact this office in the future if you
wish to pursue this modification.
