Dear Ms. Werner,
On September 7, 2016, Duke Energy Belews Creek Steam Station (Duke) received approval of
the Proposed Work Plan for the Belews Creek Flue Gas Desulfurization Residue Landfill
Additional Assessment of Groundwater Exceedances. Duke would like to amend the approved
Work Plan by using previously installed groundwater monitoring wells at the Landfill to obtain
data instead of installing additional wells. These wells are shown on the attached map.
This letter serves as a request for your concurrence to amend the Work Plan.
