ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. All photographs were taken by Troy Harrison on June 9, 2016.
2. The permitted Septage Land Application Site consists of Field 1 (22.99 acres), Field 2 (17.32 acres) and Field
3 (6.31 acres).
The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

3. The site is permitted for land application of domestic septage and grease septage.
4. The site had accessible all-weather roads to the septage land application field covered under the permit.
5. Appropriate signage was displayed at the site.
6. All fields had disposal area boundaries that were well delineated with permanent markers which corresponded
to the site map with the exception of Field 1. No recent applications were observed.
7. The large portion of Field 1 is no longer being used as a land application field and had been graded and is now
part of the composting operation (SWC-36-13) on site. If any portion of this field is to be used in the future, a
permit amendment along with a re-evaluation of the septage application boundary/acreage will be required.

8. All septage discharges appear to have been made within the disposal area boundary. Field 1 appeared to be
well maintained with the exception of small areas with heavy septage applications. Fields 2 and 3 appeared to
be well maintained.
9. No evidence of standing liquid or pooled waste was observed.
10. No objectionable odors were observed.
11. The nutrient management plan appears to have been followed on all fields.
12. Site logs were reviewed and appeared to be current.
