OBSERVED VIOLATIONS:
.0841(j) Septage shall be transferred to and from a detention system in a safe and sanitary manner that prevents leaks or
spills of septage, including pipes used for transferring waste to and from vehicles. The wheelbarrow at the screening bar
is overfilled with septage which has fallen on the ground surface. Completely clean up all septage waste from the
wheelbarrow and ground surface and properly dispose of the waste. Routinely monitor & maintain the screening
box area including the wheelbarrow to prevent any septage spills onto the ground surface.

The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. The three septage tanks (1,2,3) appear structurally sound. The other tanks on site are not permitted for septage.
The dewatering box is not on site at this time.
2. No spills/leaks were noted in the tank area, only at the screening box area as noted on the observed violation on
the front page of this audit. No apparent vectors or odors.
3. The required sign is posted at the entrance gate and the access road is adequate.
4. The approved setbacks are being met. No physical change in facility.
5. The required 5’ cleared radius is present around the tanks at this time.
