The Solid Waste Section (Section) has completed a review of the Extension Request for
Alternate Source Demonstration-Metals letter dated February 3, 2017 (DIN 27352) and
submitted on behalf of Cherokee County by Municipal Engineering Services Co., P.A. (MESCO)
for the Cherokee County Subtitle D MSW Landfill, Solid Waste Permit Number 2002. MESCO
initiated the ASD submittal process and has requested an additional 60-day extension to
determine if the additional lines of evidence they plan to present are acceptable.
