ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
1 – This facility only receives Solid Waste from Nash County.
2 – During this facility inspection, the Closed MSWLF, CDLF and TDDS were inspected.
3 – The CDLF is being covered daily with adequate cover. No unpermitted Solid Waste noted during this inspection.
4 – No eroded areas noted on the CDLF. Side slopes looked good.
5 – White goods /scrap metal area is looking good. Smaller pile than last inspection. Need to keep CRF appliances
upright until CFR is removed.
6 – TDDS site (DS64-006) was activated on October 14, 2016. Was not used during Hurricane Matthew. Nash County
had minimal debris for the storm so all vegetative waste went to the Yard Waste site.
7 – The Closed MSWLF (6401-MSWlf-1998) has good grass cover. No leachate break outs noted. Minimal eroded
areas noted.
8 – Monitoring wells are identified for the most part. Several wells need to have the well identification upgraded so
they can be easily identified. All wells looked at were locked.
9 – Access road is made of all-weather material and in good shape.
10 – Signs have all required information.
11 – Records were reviewed during this facility inspection and found to be in order.
12 – Scrap tires are kept inside a closed trailer.
