Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 1. Took soil samples at this time, two boxes. Received a $50 check for NCDA. Did not review site logs at this time. 2. The required signs are posted. The access road is adequate. 3. The cover crop has been planted. Land application shall not occur this winter unless the cover crop becomes well established. Please repair the Bermuda and control weeds in the coming year as needed. 4. Walked both fields with Mr. Long and discussed the boundaries & field markers. No permanent markers have been established since the pre-op in August. Confirmed with Mr. Long where permanent markers would be posted or flagged – please do so. 5. Enclosed is information regarding pH strips used to check the pH of septage. 6. Land application has occurred on Field 1 but not Field 2. Cattle are currently on Field 2. There is no grazing info in the approved nutrient management plan. If either disposal field shall be grazed then please submit an amendment to the nutrient management plan to include the required info for grazing to occur. 7. It appears that the approved setbacks are being met. No sign of land application outside the permitted boundaries. 8. No recent application and no odor noted.
