FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 1. The winter cover crop has become well established on all three fields & is sufficient for land application to occur. Discussed a possible grease burn – a damaged spray path strip running along the front of field A. This damaged strip may need repair work in the spring to reestablish the Bermuda. Discussed the dilution requirement of 1:1 or more for grease septage to be land applied and also the 90 day grease rule requirement. 2. Also noted some scattered heavy application & thin spots on fields A & B. These areas may also need repair work. Review application methods to ensure adequate truck speed, pressure & spreader attachment are being used to prevent crop damage. 3. The required sign has been reposted at the front of field A. The access road is adequate. 4. The field markers appear adequate. It appears that the approved setbacks are being met. No sign of land application outside the permitted boundaries. 5. No recent application. No odors noted. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding this inspection report. _ Phone: (910) 433-3352 Connie S.
