FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 1. Took soil samples, two boxes. Received check for NCDA. Did not review site logs at this time. 2. The winter cover crop has been planted & is coming up. For land application to occur this winter the cover crop must be well established. 3. Hay bales are sitting at the back edge of field 2 and need removed to prevent overspray from discharge events on this field. 4. Field markers appear adequate. It appears that the approved setbacks are being met but were not measured at this time. It appears that land application is within the permitted boundaries. 5. The required signs are posted and the access road is adequate. 6. Noted a possible grease burn (orange burnt color) due to inadequately diluted grease near the dividing line between the two fields. Also noted areas of heavy application & matting in various areas on both fields. Ensure adequate truck speed, pressure & spreader attachment are used to discharge waste in a wide thin spray path. Also ensure that grease septage is diluted 1:1 or more with domestic septage or water to prevent crop damage. 7. No recent application and no odors noted.
