Permit No. 1805-TRANSFER-2001, GDS Recycling Services
Catawba County, DIN 27295
Dear Ms. Bolton:
Enclosed you will find a copy of Permit No. 1805-TRANSFER-2001, dated January 24, 2017, DIN
27250. This permit action is the original issuance of the Life of Site Permit Approval to Operate for GDS
Recycling Services, Municipal Solid Waste Transfer Station. Make note of the following items;
The Solid Waste Section (Section) has no record that permit recordation has taken place for this
facility. Enclosed is a certified original of your permit. It is important that the certified original permit
be recorded by the Register of Deeds in Catawba County. It should be indexed in the grantor index
under the name of the land owner. The certified original should be affixed with the Register’s seal,
date, book number and page number of recording. A certified original of the permit with the
Register’s information affixed should then be returned to me at the address at the bottom of this page.
The purpose of this recordation to notify future buyers that a solid waste management facility existed
on the property, in accordance with North Carolina General Statutes.
Note: If a previous permit was recorded with the Catawba County Register of Deeds please provide me
with a copy of the recordation information and ignore the recordation information provided.
At your earliest convenience provide me a site plan of the transfer station facility with the location of
current storage, processing and transfer activities labeled, for the Section’s database.
Read your permit carefully and should you have any questions contact me immediately.
All of the documents related to this permit may be downloaded at
http://edocs.deq.nc.gov/WasteManagement/Search.aspx?cr=1 .
Copies of this permit, the approved plans, and all records, are required to be maintained by the
permittee at the facility and made available to the Section upon request during normal business hours.
