All photographs were taken by Troy Harrison on October 6, 2016. The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. The Septage Land Application Site consists of Field 1 (6.8 acres), Field 2 (10.9 acres) and Field 3 (9.0 acres) for a total of 26.7 usable acres. 3. The site is permitted for land application of domestic septage and grease trap pumpings. 4. The site had accessible all-weather roads to the septage land application field covered under the permit. 5. Appropriate signage was displayed at the site. 6. All fields had disposal area boundaries that were well delineated with permanent markers which corresponded to the site map. 7. All septage discharges appear to have been made within the disposal area boundary. No recent applications were observed in Fields 1 and 3. 8. Field No. 2 was being used at the time of inspection. There were areas where crop damage was observed. Land applications must be made in a manner to minimize crop damage. Field 2 showing crop damage 9. No Standing liquid or pooled waste was observed. The waste appeared to be evenly distributed throughout the field. 10. No objectionable odors were observed. 11. Site logs were not reviewed at this time.
