Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 3 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 1. All photographs were taken by Troy Harrison on December 7, 2016. 2. The permitted Septage Detention and Treatment facility consist of one 5,000 gallon and one 10,000 gallon above ground steel tanks for a total capacity of 15,000 gallons for storage of domestic septage, grease trap pumping and commercial/industrial septage. Tanks are from left to right, 5,000 gal & 10,000 gal 3. Appropriate signage was in place. 4. Access around the facility was well maintained to allow for inspection. 5. The tanks at the facility appeared to be structurally sound. The 10,000 gallon tank was observed to have a leak from possible overfilling out of a hole in the top. In the future, the tanks must be maintained in a manner where there is no leakage. Leak from 10,000 gal tank 6. Vectors were not present at the time of inspection nor were objectionable odors observed. 7. Septage appears to be transferred to/from the detention facility in a safe and sanitary manner.
