The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. All photographs were taken by Troy Harrison on October 4, 2016.
2. The Septage Detention and Treatment facility (SDTF) consisted of one 10,000 gallon steel tank, one 6,000 gallon steel tank and one 12,000 gallon fiberglass tank. These tanks are above ground and shall be used for the
storage of domestic septage (including portable toilet waste) and grease trap septage. The permit also lists two
10,000 steel tanks to be placed at this location in the future. These additional tanks shall not be used until they are placed in position, inspected by the Solid Waste Section and found to be in compliance.
3. Set-back/buffer requirements appear to have been met.
4. Appropriate signage was displayed at the entrance to the site.
5. The entrance road was easily accessible. 6. The tanks appeared to be structurally sound and well maintained.
7. The area around the detention and treatment area was found to be free of spills and debris.
8. Vegetation had been cleared around the tanks.
9. No odors observed in the area of the detention and treatment area.
