Enclosed you will find a copy of the latest facility permit for Duke Energy’s Marshall Steam
Station including Permit No. 1809-INDUS-, dated December 20, 2016 (DIN 26168). The Permit
to Operate approves the continued operation of Phase 1, Cell 1 of the FGD Landfill. The
following are important items that remain to be accomplished;
 Read your permit carefully, it is important that you understand your permit. If you have any

 Copies of this permit, the approved plans, and all records, are required to be maintained by
