Unit II - Phase 1 - Cell 2B
Gaston County, North Carolina
CHA Project Number 21420
Dear Mr. Wootton:
In accordance with previous conversations with NCDENR, CHA Consulting, Inc., respectfully submits
this French Drain Plan (Plan) for the Unit II - Phase 1 - Cell 2B municipal solid waste landfill construction
project. This Plan includes a site plan and detail of the proposed French drain that will be installed prior to
construction of the Unit II - Phase 1 - Cell 2B municipal solid waste landfill. The French drain will be
installed in order to address an existing spring head that is within the limits of the proposed liner system
and which was identified on the approved Permit Application.
Enclosed with this letter is the Plan and photographs of the spring head and drainage feature areas.
If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact me at (704) 527-3227.
Sincerely,
Robert C. Sallach, P.E.
