Dear Ms. Witt,  

The Solid Waste Section (Section) has reviewed the Groundwater Assessment Report (DIN 17366) for 
the Pine Hall Rd Landfill at the Belews Creek Steam Station submitted by HDR Engineering, Inc. on 
October 1, 2012.  The Section agrees with the findings outlined in the report regarding monitoring wells 
MW‐3, MW‐6, MW2‐7, MW2‐9 and MW‐4.  Further assessment is not necessary.  However, the Section 
may request additional groundwater assessment in the future.
