ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.
OBSERVED VIOLATIONS:
1.This facility consists of one below grade 3,000 concrete tank for the storage of domestic septage discharged from recreational vehicles.The waste
from any recreational vehicle that is being used as a permanent residence is prohibited from being stored in this tank.
2.Appropriate signage was not in place at the tank.A "No Trespassing"sign will need to be near the tank as required by 15A NCAC 13B .0841(k).
3.No evidence of leaks or spills were observed a the tank.
4.Access around the tank was well maintained to allow for inspection.
5.Vectors were not present at the time of inspection nor were objective odors observed.
6.A logbook will need to be maintained as required by Solid Waste Permit SDTF-88-01,which states:"Records shall be maintained in accordance
with Septage Management Rules.These records shall be made available to a representative of the Division upon request.These records shall reflect
the multiple generators of the waste stored in this tank and also that the storage does not exceed the six month time frame as per 15A NCAC 13B
.0841(r)."
