Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: 1.All photographs were taken by Troy Harrison on April 8,2016. 2.The Septage Detention and Treatment facility (SDTF)consists of two 1,850 gallon concrete tanks for a total capacity of 3,700 gallons for the storage of portable toilet waste. 3.It appears that set-back/buffer requirements appear to have been met. 4.The “No Trespassing”sign was not observed during the inspection,however,it was in place later that day. 5.All weather roads are maintained for access to the site. 6.The tanks appeared to be structurally sound and well maintained. 7.The area around the detention and treatment area was found to be free of spills and debris. 8.No odors observed in the area of the detention and treatment area.
