Meeting Objective The purpose of this pre-construction meeting is to introduce members of NCDEQ to the project team, gain understanding of the construction schedule and CQA interface, contractors & suppliers, landfill footprint, laydown areas, equipment & fuel staging areas, and leachate storage tank farm area. Discussion topics include leachate disposal, CQA document submittals, engineering modifications and lastly, the groundwater monitoring and extraction system to ensure the safe and successful completion of the Dan River CCR Landfill. 2. Belews Creek, NC 27009 c-(336) 445-061 NOTES: The purpose of this meeting was for pre-construction of the coal ash landfill. See the agenda and sign in sheet. Notes:  Reminded Duke that FA must be in place before the PTO approval for cell 1 can be issued.  Email me a copy of any burn permits for land clearing debris.  The Section has a copy of the E&SC CoA for this project.  Get certified CQA documents to as possible. I will take partial submittals if that will improve approval speed.  I requested a copy of the wastewater IUP with the City of Eden to accept leachate. (Note: the IUP was received by the Section on 11/2/2016).  Permit recordation must be complete within 30 days.  Trans-Ash is the construction contractor.  The “how clean as clean” certification must be approved by Elizabeth Werner before placement of subgrade.  Liner installation will be done by Texas Liner Installations.  Milestones for Section visits (Melonie will notify me). o Tank construction. o Liner installation. o Upon request of Duke.  All documents submitted to the Section should have Melonie’s cover letter on them. PERMIITING FIELD REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2  I am available upon request to participate in weekly construction meetings upon request.  Schedule; o Construction to be completed on Cell 1 – 3/31/2017 o CQA submitted for Cell 1 – 4/31/2017 o Operations to begin in Cell 1 – 6/1/2017  Pre-operation meeting may be scheduled upon submittal of CQA.  I am available in my office from 7:am to 4:pm and by cell (Duke must request) 24/7.
