Dear Mrs. Bradford:
Attached are the completed Industrial Landfill Annual Report forms for Duke Energy’s McGuire
Nuclear Station synthetically lined Landfill #2 (Permit No. 60-04) for the past year (7/1/2013 –
6/30/2014).
The landfill currently accepts waste from Duke Energy facilities within its Carolinas service territory.
A total of approximately 2,298 tons of waste was taken to the landfill during the most recent twelve
month period. Since the landfill went into operation and through the most recent survey on June
18, 2014, approximately 54,469 cubic yards and 48,853 tons of waste have been disposed of in
the landfill.
As required by G.S. 130A-309.09D(b), the County Manager for any county that generated waste
for disposal to this landfill must be sent a copy of the Annual Report. Therefore, County Managers
for the 38 counties that generated waste for disposal to this landfill were sent copies of the Annual
