Permit No. 7906-INDUS-2016, Duke Energy Dan River Steam Station
Rockingham County, DIN 26908
Dear Ms. Martin:
Enclosed you will find a copy of Permit No. 7906-INDUS-2016, dated October 26, 2016, DIN 25583.
This permit action is the revision to the original issuance of the Permit to Construct and Permit to
Operate, for Duke Energy’s Dan River Steam Station industrial landfill. Make note of the following
items;
This revision corrects the permit renewal submission date in Attachment 3, Part IV, Condition 18.
Since this is an original permit issuance, the permit requires recordation. Enclosed is a certified
original of your permit. It is important that the certified original permit be recorded by the Register of
Deeds in Rockingham County. It should be indexed in the grantor index under the name of the land
owner. The certified original should be affixed with the Register’s seal, date, book number and page
number of recording. A certified original of the permit with the Register’s information affixed should
then be returned to me at the address at the bottom of this page. The purpose of this recordation to
notify future buyers that a solid waste management facility existed on the property, in accordance
with North Carolina General Statutes.
Read your permit carefully and should you have any questions contact me immediately.
