Box 219 Morganton, NC 28680 RE: Burke County, East Burke Landfill, Permit Number 12-02 Landfill Gas Monitoring Report – Third Quarter 2016 – New GP-1B JOYCE Project No. 277.1601.12, Task 04 Dear Mr. Hollifield; The purpose of this letter is to provide you with the results for GP-1B monitored on August 26, 2016. GP-1B is the new gas monitoring probe installed at the East Burke closed landfill as part of the site’s Landfill Gas Remediation Plan, approved on September 18, 2015. GP-1B was located to be closer to the facility boundary than GP-1. The monitoring results were no exceedance of the LEL. We have included an EMRF and will forward a copy of this report to Jaclynne Drummond with the NCDEQ Solid Waste Section. This report should be added to the Third Quarterly 2016 Landfill Gas Monitoring Report in the facility’s records. The next quarterly monitoring event is tentatively scheduled for December 2016.
