Industrial Waste Landfill Annual Report
Dear Ms. Aja:
Attached is the completed Industrial Landfill Annual Report form for Duke Energy’s Marshall Steam
Station FGD Landfill (Permit No. 1809) for the past year (7/1/2013 – 6/30/2014). The landfill only accepted waste from Duke Energy’s Marshall Steam Station. A total of approximately
358,612 tons of waste was received by the landfill during the most recent twelve month period. Since the landfill went into operation and through the most recent survey on April 17, 2014, approximately 569,309
cubic yards and 739,012.56 tons of waste have been disposed in the landfill..
As required by G.S. 130A-309.09D(b), the County Manager for any county that generated waste for
disposal to this landfill is sent a copy of the Annual Report. Therefore, a copy of this Annual Report is
being provided to the County Manager for Catawba County.
