Dear Mr. Czop:
On September 14, 2016 the Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section (Section)
received Duke Energy’s letter entitled;
Semi-annual Groundwater Monitoring Report Submittal, Permit No. 8106-INDUS, Rogers
Energy Complex (formerly Cliffside Steam Station), 573 Duke Power Road, Mooresboro, NC
28114. Prepared by Duke Energy. September 2016. DIN 26733.
In the letter Duke Energy informed the Section that it was aligning the Operations Plan to the
requirements of the Permit to Operate, by changing the referenced submittal date in the
Operations Plan from 60 days to 120 days. The Section concurs with Duke Energy’s letter and
requests that the next time the permit for the Rogers Energy Complex is either amended or
modified that the change be incorporated in the Operations Plan.
