The facility is located at the Town of Tryon Waste Water Treatment Plant. 3. The facility is secured by a gate at the entrance to the facility. 4. The road was constructed of gravel and was in good condition at the time of inspection. 5. The bagged leaves that were noted during the July 7, 2016 inspection have been removed from the yard waste area. 6. A small amount of unacceptable material (plastic bag) was observed in the yard waste area, please remove this from material and dispose of it properly. 7. Plastic pipe, metal strapping, fabric, and wood was observed at the beneficial fill area located to the south of the yard waste area. Per 15A NCAC 13B .0562 Beneficial Fill, the only fill material acceptable is inert debris consisting of unpainted concrete, block, brick, uncontaminated soil, rock, gravel and used asphalt. Ensure all unapproved material is removed from this area so it is not incorporated into the fill. 8. Adequate access was provided for firefighting equipment. 9. It appeared that less than 6000 yds3 of material was on site at the time of inspection. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding this inspection report. __________________________________ Phone: 828-296-4700 Lee Hill Environmental Senior Specialist Regional Representative Sent on: September 2, 2016 to Zach Ollis X Email Hand delivery US Mail Certified No. Copies: Tony Gallagher, Compost & Land Application Branch Head Deb Aja, Western District Supervisor - Solid Waste Section Jessica Montie, Compliance Officer – Solid Waste Section Sarah Rice, Compliance Officer – Solid Waste Section FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 3 of 3 Yard Waste Area Metal Strapping in the Beneficial Fill Area
