administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. Appropriate signage was in place along the access road.
2. Septage pumped from boats is pumped into a plastic tank located in the boat maintenance yard. The tank has
secondary containment [cement block wall], which was appeared to be well maintained. No leaks were observed.
3. Vegetation was observed around the tank and secondary containment. State regulations require that the
vegetation must be cleared to a distance of at least 5 feet.
SDTF-18-03 4. Vectors were not present at the time of inspection nor were objectionable odors observed.
5. Septage appears to have been transferred to/from the tank in a safe and sanitary manner.
6. Operational records were available and appeared to be current.
