Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. The permitted Septage Detention and Treatment facility consist of one 10,000 gallon below ground metal tank and two 20,000 gallon above ground metal tanks for storage and treatment of domestic septage, portable toilet waste, and grease trap pumping. Two 20,000 gallon tanks One 10,000 gallon tank 2. Appropriate signage was in place along access roads. 3. Vegetative growth was effectively controlled in the areas around the 10,000 tank. The two 20,000 tanks had some vegetation that will need to be cleared. 4. The facility appeared to be maintained in a manner that prevents leaks or spills. 5. All three tanks at the facility were appeared to be structurally sound and not leaking. 6. Vectors were not present at the time of inspection nor were objectionable odors observed. 7. Septage appears to be transferred to/from the detention facility in a safe and sanitary manner. 8. Approved setbacks and buffers for the septage detention and treatment facility storage tanks appear to have been met.
