Greg,
I have looked over your letter and see no issues or concerns the Section might have with the County’s utilization of the
“old” scales.
However, the pictures do remind me that the Section encourages the County to pave or concrete the area where the
loaded trailers are staged; capture the water and direct it to the sanitary sewer, to prevent contamination of surface and
groundwater. I think this area is gravel with outlet to stormwater.
Please correct me if my information is out of date,
Larry

Re: Waste Wizard and permitted hauler lane
August 16, 2016
Mr. Frost:
With the expected increase in flow, we are implementing the Waste Wizard system for all of our
permitted haulers in Henderson County. This system is an interface manufactured by Carolina Software
(Waste Works) that will allow us to utilize our old scales and reduce wait times at the scale house.
Haulers will use the permitted hauler lane (please see the attachments) and go directly to our old scales
and weigh in.
If you have any questions please contact me at gwiggins@hendersoncountync.org or by phone at
(828) 301‐7555.
Sincerely,
Greg Wiggins
