OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: NONE The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2 AREAS OF CONCERN AND COMMENTS: 1) A sign was labeled “Septage land Application Site” as you enter the site. Need a “No Trespassing” sign also at the entrance to the site. See picture below. 2) The access road is in good shape. 3) Markers present. Keep vegetation down from around the markers so that the markers can easily be seen. See picture below. 4) All septage discharges appeared to be within the permitted boundaries of the field. 5) No application issues noted today. No spot dumps or thick applications noticed. 6) Bermudagrass present. Some broadleaf weed control is needed. 7) No application at time of inspection. pH not checked. 8) No objectionable odors noticed today. 9) No change noticed that would affect setback distances. 10) Records not checked. 11) No violations noticed today. “No Trespassing” sign needed with Septage Land Application Site sign. Marker hard to see because the weeds are taller than the marker. Vegetation needs to be removed so that the markers can easily be seen. Red arrow points to marker.
