ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. The Construction and Demolition (C&D) Debris Landfill ceases accepting waste in June 31, 2008. Information
regarding the cap closure was received by the Section on November 5, 2009.
2. The landfill cap has been stabilized with a good stand of vegetation.
3. Several small trees are starting to emerge on the landfill. Small trees and dense brush should be removed and
the area repaired to ensure the integrity of the cap.
4. No areas of significant settling or ponding were observed.
5. The access roads were well maintained.
6. Access to the site is secured by a gate at the entrance of the facility.
7. Edge of waste markers were being maintained. However, the markers on a portion of the western side of the
landfill could not be clearly observed. Please ensure that adequate edge of waste markers are provided to allow
for the delineation of the entire waste boundary.
8. Please submit the quarterly methane gas monitoring reports for 2014-2016 for review. The reports can be sent
to teresa.bradford@ncdenr.gov.
Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding this inspection report.
