Dear Mr. Wiggins:
On May 20, 2016 the Division of Waste Management, Solid Waste Section (Section) received
Henderson County’s request, entitled;
Temporary location of material from Waste Stream Innovation to Henderson County Transfer
Station, Permit # 4504T-TRANSFER-1998. Prepared by Henderson County. May 2016. DIN
26139.
The request concerns the relocation of materials from Waste Stream Innovation’s site in Mills
River to the Henderson County Transfer Station Facility. The request did not include the
laboratory monitoring results required by the Section’s Field Operations Branch.
On June 9, 2016 the Section received the required laboratory monitoring results and on June 13,
2016 I received the Field Operations Branch’s approval for those results. The monitoring results
and Branch approval information are included in the document, entitled;
Project: Mills River Waste Yard, Pace Project No.: 92298776. Prepared by Pace Analytical.
Prepared for Cason Builders Supply. June 2016. DIN 26265.
The Section has reviewed the required information, and approves the relocation of material to the
Henderson County Transfer Station Facility, in accordance with the request referenced above
(DIN 26139). Please note the following;
The relocation of material is to be completed in accordance with the documents referenced in
this approval letter.
The documents related to this approval may be downloaded at
http://edocs.deq.nc.gov/WasteManagement/Search.aspx?cr=1, Laserfiche WebLink.
Copies of all approved plans, and all records, are required to be maintained by the permittee
at the facility, and made available to the Section upon request during normal business hours.
