Explanation for question 8: The pump truck block was checked, however the leachate is treated on site via (National Pollutant Discharge
Elimination System) NPDES permit and biological treatment. Leachate is pumped and hauled to the local POTW during emergencies.
Question 10: The tonnage for the SW tax is less than the tonnage disposed of in the landfill (question 9) because sludge is tracked as being
placed in the landfill, however exempt from the solid waste tax.
