As required by the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ), AECOM Technical
Services of North Carolina, Inc. (AECOM) on behalf of Speedway LLC (Speedway) has prepared this
Groundwater Gauging Letter Report for Speedway Store No. 7934 (Site), located at 2005 E. Wendover
Avenue, Greensboro, Guilford County, North Carolina.
On December 16, 2024, groundwater elevation and light non-aqueous phase liquid (LNAPL) thickness was
gauged in monitoring wells MW-01, MW-02, and MW-18. Depths to groundwater ranged from 10.13 feet (ft)
below ground surface (bgs) (MW-02) to 15.06 ft bgs (MW-18). LNAPL was not recorded in any monitoring
wells during this site visit. The LNAPL absorbent socks in MW-01 and MW-18 were observed to contain
LNAPL and were replaced prior to leaving the site. A site location map and site plan have been included as
Figure 1 and Figure 2.
AECOM recommends continuing semi-annual sampling and quarterly gauging to monitor LNAPL recovery.
